Build your own brain before someone else's starts thinking for you

ai, self-hosted, responsible-ai, data-sovereignty, on-premise

xAI's Grok just made headlines for surfacing a white genocide conspiracy theory in response to a routine query – because, according to the bot, it was "instructed by [its] creators" to treat it as fact.

Whatever your stance on AI, this is a textbook example of why organisations should consider running their own self-hosted or on-prem LLMs.

When you're relying on a black-box model owned by a billionaire with a Twitter habit, you're also inheriting their biases, intentional (in this case) or not.

Running your own model means you control the guardrails, you decide what's appropriate, and you don't get blindsided by someone else's political agenda.

In AI, control isn't just a feature – it's a risk mitigation strategy.
